Dailor is an East Timorese place and Aldeia in Suco Bandudato ( Office of Administration Aileu , community Aileu ).
geography
Dailor is located south of the municipality capital Aileu at an altitude of 1140 m on the Monofonihun river, which is part of the Northern Laclós system . In the immediate vicinity, here in the northwest of the Sucos, are the places Malami , Railete and Raifusa ( Raifusu ), as well as a primary school and a bridge over the Mahane. The road that connects the state capital Dili with the south coast leads over this bridge . It is one of the country's well-developed main transport routes.
history
Dailor was one of the many traditional Timorese empires ruled by a liurai . It appears on a list by Afonso de Castro , a former governor of Portuguese Timor who listed 47 empires in 1868. Already in the 18th century Dailor was an ally of Portugal . In January 1894 it signed a written contract with Portugal on its vassal status to the colonial power.
