Daimuron is a chemical compound from the group of phenylureas and cumylamine derivatives, which was introduced in 1975 in Japan by Shōwa Denkō as a herbicide .
Extraction and presentation
Daimuron can be obtained starting from α, α-benzyldimethylamine by reaction with phosgene and p -toluidine .
use
Daimuron was originally used as a herbicide, but subsequently also as a herbicide safener in rice to reduce the phytotoxicity of bensulfuron-methyl . In the European Union and in Switzerland, Daimuron is not approved as a crop protection agent.
