Dalsjöfors is about 13 kilometers east of the city of Borås on the railway line between Borås and Ulricehamn . The place developed particularly in the context of the textile factory founded in 1897 by Henning, Martin and Herman Jansson. This merged with Almedahls fabriks AB in 1920 and was the main employer in the village until the 1960s.
