Damian Martin (born February 26, 1990 in Wolfsburg ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the regional division Herford EV since the 2019/20 season .

Career

Damian Martin began his career as an ice hockey player in the junior team at Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg , before moving to the Adler Mannheim's ice hockey boarding school in 2005 . From 2005 to 2007 the attacker played for the young eagles in the German junior league . The winger then moved to the DNL team of the Krefelder EV for one season before the Wolfsburg-born man was signed by the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg from the German Ice Hockey League in the summer of 2008 . Wolfsburg provided Martin with a license for the upper division ESC Halle 04 . In addition, Martin made his debut in the highest German ice hockey league in the 2008/09 season . So far, the attacker has played 14 DEL games and scored one goal.

In September 2009, the sports director of Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg, Karl-Heinz Fliegauf, announced that he had terminated the contract with Damian Martin. Martin, who had previously been a guest player at EHC Dortmund in a preparatory game for the 2009/10 season , then moved to Dortmund. and became champions of the Oberliga West with the team in 2011. For the 2011/12 season , Martin ran for one season for the Saale Bulls Halle before moving to league competitor Ice Fighters Leipzig for the 2012/13 season. With the Leipzig team he became champions of the Oberliga Ost in 2014 and 2015 .

Damian Martin switched to the EHC Waldkraiburg in the summer of 2018 , but returned to Lower Saxony after half a year and joined the Hanover Scorpions . For the 2019/20 season, Martin moved to the regional league team Herford EV .
