Franz Tscherne

Franz Tscherne (born December 3, 1964 in Graz ) is an Austrian actor and director .

Life

Tscherne played since the age of 19 at the theaters in Zurich, Basel, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Berlin ( Renaissance Theater ), Frankfurt, Munich (eight years Bavarian State Theater ) and in Vienna at the Burgtheater and the Theater in der Josefstadt . He also made guest appearances at the Wiener Festwochen and the Theatertreffen Berlin . He worked with the directors Hans Hollmann , Rudolf Noelte and August Everding , Leander Haussmann on the roles of Alfred ( stories from the Vienna Woods ), about Cleante ( Der Geizige ), Junker Bleichenwang ( What you want ), Pylades ( Iphigenie auf Tauris ) , Amélie Niermeyer and Robert Lepage together. In film and television Tscherne was seen in the TV productions All my daughters , Inspector Rex , White-Blue Stories , Tatort or Axel Corti 's Radetzkymarsch film, in which he plays the young Emperor Franz Josef. In 2004 he directed “ Das Mädl aus der Vorstadt ” by Johann Nestroy at the Lower Austria State Theater.

In the field of music theater he played the Perchik in the musical Anatevka at the Aalto Theater in Essen under the direction of Stefan Soltesz . In the Munich Philharmonic he was the narrator in a concert performance of Albert Lortzing'sZar und Zimmermann ” under Leopold Hager and recited Dante in Wolf Ferrari's “La vita nuova” under Maestro Marcello Viotti . For the Bavarian Radio he was the spokesman in Honegger's " La danse des morts " under the musical direction of Ulf Schirmer , under whose baton Franz Tscherne in December 2007 as Rainer Maria Rilke's " Cornet " in the setting by Viktor Ullmann in Munich's Prince Regent Theater occurred . He made his debut on the opera stage in Venice in 2003, in a “ Teatro la Fenice new production” of “ Ariadne auf Naxos ”. In the Teatro Malibran he played the steward under the musical direction of Viotti. He also took on this role in February 2009 in a new Ariadne production at the “ Teatro Carlo Felice ” in Genoa . At the Wuppertal Opera he played Orpheus in the melodrama “Orfei” by JI Fomin , directed by Klaus-Peter Kehr, and at the Opéra du Rhin in Strasbourg he played Niklas in Heinrich Marschner's opera “ Hans Heiling ”.
