content
Both are clichéd Ruhrpott boobies and in their mid-twenties have nothing better to do than hang out all day in “their” outdoor pool. The lifeguard Kalle is an absolute role model for both of them, so that they decide without further ado to take a lifeguard exam. Despite the completely messed up idea, they get the coveted place of the lifeguard positions on the island of Sylt . At first completely dissatisfied and underutilized, they quickly notice that Sylt is not that bad after all. Paul is completely impressed by an animal-loving Greenpeace activist ( Dorkas Kiefer ), who is taking care of the disappearance of seals with her French colleague Jacques. In retrospect, it turns out that Jaques kidnaps the animals and offers them for consumption every evening in a gourmet restaurant. After Paul and Böller were able to spread their dreary 80s style through the acquaintance of the famous Austrian fashion designer Gigi Griesmayr on the island, this excursion degenerated completely and they lost their jobs as lifeguards on Sylt in order to return to their roots in Wanne-Eickel.
criticism
Lexicon of international film : Comedy that looks at the “Asi touch” of well-known role models and at the same time wants to poke fun at the crowd.
