Damir Kassimowitsch Yusupov
Damir Kassimowitsch Jussupow ( Russian Дами́р Каси́мович Юсу́пов ; born September 13, 1977 in Igarka , Krasnoyarsk Region , RSFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian civil aviation pilot . He was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation in 2019 . He was the commander of a Airbus A321 on the flight 178 of the Ural Airlines , in the vicinity of the August 15, 2019 Airport Moscow Zhukovsky successful emergency landing.

Damir Yusupov is his ethnicity forth Tatar . In 1993 the family moved to Syzran , where his father lived. In 1996 he graduated from the Polytechnic and then served in the armored forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
