Damon Morton (born June 18, 1996 ) is an Australian biathlete .

Damon Morton is the son of former biathlete Cameron Morton . He starts for Boonoona NSW XC . His first international championship was the 2012 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti , where he was 80th in the individual and 67th in the sprint. Also in 2013 in Obertilliach he missed the pursuit race as 67th, but was already 60th in the individual. This positive development culminated at the 2014 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Presque Isle , where after a 33rd place in the individual he was just 11th in the sprint Missed top ten places and finished 15th in the pursuit. In Minsk in 2015 , he placed 20 and 30. In 2013 in Bansko and 2014 in Nové Město na Moravě , Morton also started in the junior races of the open European biathlon championships and finished between 48 and 60, including 53rd place three times in six races.

For men, Morton has been competing in the IBU Cup since the start of the 2014/15 season . In his first race in Beitostølen , he was 67th in the sprint and still missed the pursuit. In Obertilliach he improved his best result in a sprint to 63rd place in the further course of the season.The first men 's championship was the 2015 open biathlon European championships in Otepää , where Morton was 89th of the sprint and 20 with Alexei Almoukov , Dyllan Harmer and Daniel Walker . in the relay race. It was one of Australia's first ever biathlon relay competitions.

Since 2012, Morton has also competed regularly in the Australia / New Zealand Cup in cross-country skiing.
