Dana Beldiman

Dana Beldiman (born June 29, 1951 ) is a lawyer and legal scholar . She is a partner in Squire Patton Boggs , a professor at the University of California's Hastings College of Law, and an honorary professor at Bucerius Law School .

Life

Dana Beldiman studied economics at the University of Bucharest and graduated with a Master of Arts . She then earned a Juris Doctor degree from Hastings College of Law and a Masters of Laws in intellectual property law from the Santa Clara University School of Law . She then received her doctorate from the University of Bremen .

In 2004 Beldiman was appointed honorary professor at the Bucerius Law School. She has been its academic director since the Center for Transnational IP, Media and Technology Law and Policy was founded at the Bucerius Law School in 2012. She also heads the joint summer program “International IP Transactions” at the Bucerius Law School and the Hastings College of Law.

Beldiman has been a professor at the University of California's Hastings College of Law since 2008. She also gives regular lectures at the Center des études internationales de la propriété intellectuelle at the University of Strasbourg . Before that she taught at Santa Clara University, the University of Latvia , Humboldt University and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing.

In research and teaching, she focuses on international, comparative law and policy-related aspects of intellectual property, in particular transnational trademark , design and licensing law .

Dana Beldiman lives in Strawberry and has been Romania's Honorary Consul in San Francisco since 1998 .
