administration

As a non-incorporated census-designated place , most of Strawberry's administrative tasks are taken over by Marin County . Strawberry is part of the county's 3rd Supervisorial District and is represented by Supervisor Kathrin Sears.

Some of the services - such as garbage collection, the collection of recycling materials and the maintenance of leisure facilities - are taken over by the Strawberry Recreation District , a kind of association. The boundaries of this special-purpose district do not exactly correspond to those of the census-designated places Strawberry.

Strawberry has the same zip code (94941) as Mill Valley ; Addresses in Strawberry are therefore given as "Mill Valley". Several attempts to incorporate Strawberry into Tiburon were rejected by the residents of Strawberry by vote.
