Dane Fox (born October 13, 1993 in Chatham , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has played for the Frederikshavn White Hawks in the Metal Ligaen and on the position of the center since July 2019 .

Career

From 2009 to 2011 he played with the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) before moving to the Erie Otters within the league . On December 28, 2013 Fox signed an entry-level contract with the Vancouver Canucks as a free agent . However, he should continue to play for the Erie Otters. In the 2013/14 season he scored 64 goals in 67 games, making him the league's top goalscorer.

During the 2015/16 season, Fox played mainly on the Canucks' farm team, the Kalamazoo Wings , in the ECHL . Despite 50 points in 53 games, Fox failed to make the jump to the AHL to the Utica Comets and only played one game. On March 7, 2016, Fox was transferred from the Canucks to the Carolina Hurricanes . Again, Fox was assigned to the Charlotte Checkers from the AHL.

As a free agent after the end of his contract with the Hurricanes, Fox decided to continue his career in the ECHL and signed a one-year contract with the Missouri Mavericks on August 25, 2016 . He has been under contract with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers in the German Ice Hockey League since 2017 . In 2018 he extended his contract for a year.
