Daniel von Wattenwyl (born September 11, 1972 in Basel ; legal resident in Bern ) is a Swiss radio and television presenter , actor and writer .

Life

Dani von Wattenwyl grew up in Biel-Benken in the Basel region and, after finishing secondary school in Oberwil, attended the secondary school in Basel. He has been a news presenter at Telebasel since 1995 . He also moderated the weekly talk show Pur from 1997 to 2008 . In this position, he has welcomed regional, national and international celebrities and personalities such as Emil , Sina , Hape Kerkeling and Viktor Giacobbo in recent years . As an actor, he has appeared on the stage at the Häbsetheater in Basel and the Bernhard Theater in Zurich, among others . From May 2007 to October 2009 he hosted the program Das von Wattenwyl-Talk on TeleBärn . Von Wattenwyl has a twin brother.

Von Wattenwyl also works as a radio editor. From 1999 to 2004 he was managing director of Radio Edelweiss resp. Radio Basel 1 . Since 2010, he has published three thrillers at Friedrich Reinhardt Verlag in Basel . Von Wattenwyl has been a radio host at Radio Basilisk since 2013.

Von Wattenwyl lives and works in Basel and was in a relationship with actress Caroline Rasser for eight years before they decided to go their separate ways in June 2010.
