Daniel Florea (born December 18, 1975 in Vaslui , Vaslui County ) is a former Romanian football player . The full-back played a total of 321 games in the Romanian Divizia A , the Ukrainian Premjer-Liha and the Cypriot First Division .

Career

Florea began his career at Oțelul Galați , for whom he made his debut in Divizia A on December 1, 1993 against UTA Arad shortly before his 18th birthday . In 1997 he moved to Dinamo Bucharest and was Romanian champion and cup winner in 2000. The following season Dinamo was runner-up, Florea only played 15 league games. In the summer of 2001 he moved to the Ukraine , where he first played for the first division club Shakhtar Donetsk , with whom he made the double again in 2002 . After winning the 2004 Cup, Florea lost his regular place and moved to Metalurh Zaporizhia during the winter break of 2004/05 . After the end of the season he went to Metalurh Donetsk for half a year , which he left in January 2006 to return to his hometown club Dinamo Bucharest on loan. After a third place in the 2005/06 season , he moved to his last club, APOEL Nicosia , where he ended his career in 2009 after two championship titles and a cup win.

The 1.77 m tall defensive player played three international matches for the Romanian national football team between 1999 and 2002 , in which he did not score a goal.
