Daniel Kerschbaumer (born June 11, 1989 ) is an Austrian soccer player .
Career
Kerschbaumer, who comes from Inzersdorf, completed his first training sessions with the lower-class club SV Grün-Weiß Micheldorf and came to FK Austria Wien as a 13-year-old . After he had spent a year in the boarding school of the Frank-Stronach football academy, he switched to SV Ried , as his coach considered him too "skinny". He then trained in Ried until he was 19, graduated from school there and played for SV Ried amateurs. In 2009 he came to SK Vorwärts Steyr , with whom he subsequently played in the Upper Austrian League between 2009 and 2011 . After Vorwärts Steyr became champion of the Upper Austrian League in the 2010/11 season, Kerschbaumer played with his club in the Middle Regional League the following season . However, Steyr had to relegate again after only one season in the Regionalliga 2012. Kerschbaumer moved to FC Pasching and thus remained in the regional league. He played in 27 of 30 Paschinger games and was always used over the full distance. He scored three league goals in the 2012/13 season.
On May 30, 2013, Kerschbaumer won the Austrian Football Cup 2012/13 with Pasching . He was in action over the full game distance in the final against the reigning Austrian champions FK Austria Wien . He also scored the winning goal in the semifinals against FC Red Bull Salzburg .
Since June 11, 2014 he has been under contract with LASK Linz . After the end of the 2014/15 season, he moved to SK Austria Klagenfurt, the newly promoted to the first division . However, his contract was terminated in December 2015 due to player surplus.
In January 2016 he moved to the regional league club FC Blau-Weiß Linz , with whom he was promoted to professional football at the end of the season.
For the 2018/19 season he moved to Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg . After nine Bundesliga games for Burgenland, he returned to the second division Vorwärts Steyr in January 2019, where he received a contract that ran until June 2019. After the 2018/19 season, he left Steyr. After half a year without a club, he moved to the fourth-class ASKÖ Oedt in January 2020 .
