Daniel Lisulo

Daniel Muchiwa Lisulo (born December 6, 1930 in Mongu , † August 21, 2000 in Johannesburg , South Africa ) was a Zambian politician .

After studying law at Loyola College, Madras University , he worked as a lawyer. After Zambia's independence in 1964, he was appointed director of the Bank of Zambia and held this position until he was elected member of the National Assembly in 1977. He was a member until 1983.

In 1978, President Kenneth Kaunda first appointed him Minister of Legal Affairs and Attorney General, before he was appointed Prime Minister on June 15, 1978, succeeding Mainza Chona . On February 18, 1981, he was replaced in this office by Nalumino Mundia . After that he was a member of the Central Committee of the United National Independence Party (UNIP) for some time .

Most recently he worked as a lawyer.
