biography
Career
Lopes grew up in the Brazilian city of Recife . When he was five years old, his father passed away. Four years later, his thirteen-year-old sister was killed in a car accident. At the age of 15 he moved to Germany with his mother and older brother and lived in Schloss Holte . His mother remarried and Lopes was adopted by his stepfather. After completing secondary school, he completed an apprenticeship as an insurance salesman.
As a 10-year-old, he learned to play the piano and guitar in self-study, and from then on played in the youth band Crazy Boys , which according to its own statements was regionally successful. In Germany he received his first author's contract after taking part in a test singing as part of the Face '97 model competition .
Germany seeks the superstar
He made a career leap in 2002/2003 with his participation in the first season of the talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar (DSDS) on the German TV station RTL. There he moved into the finals of the top ten over several qualifying rounds. Finally he left the competition on January 11, 2003 and finished seventh in the final ranking.
Together with the other finalists, he recorded the single We Have a Dream and the album United in late 2002 . The single and album both reached the top of the German charts and were the best-selling records of the year in 2003.

The publication, which was not coordinated with the producers of the show, led to the exclusion from the joint tour of all DSDS finalists. The parts of Lopes were deleted from all songs on the album United , except for the previously released single We Have a Dream .
His second single as well as a reinterpretation of the Wham! -Classic Last Christmas for the 2003 Christmas season missed chart success .
In 2004 Lopes was seen as a participant in the reality show Die Alm , which was broadcast on ProSieben . In the same year he competed against the actor Dustin Semmelrogge at RTL Promiboxen and lost through technical knockout in the third round.
After a party in St. Tropez he developed his passion for house and electro music with Bob Sinclar . Since then he has been working in the house and electronic scene as a songwriter, DJ and MC.
In 2011 he was a candidate in the RTL show Das Supertalent and reached the second round on October 29, 2011. He did not reach the live shows because of a forgotten text passage in the song Hero by Enrique Iglesias . In 2012 Lopes took part in the sixth season of the RTL reality show Ich bin ein Star - Get me out of here! part, but was selected as the first candidate by the audience. Lopes then moved back to Brazil to make music there.
In 2014 he signed a record and management contract with the record label Lacave Records and released a single with Marcelos Pi (Lacave Records) entitled Golden Night .
In 2018 he took part in the Brazilian casting show The Voice Brasil .
