Daniel Senn (born September 17, 1983 ) is a former Swiss football player .
Since 2019 he has been head of sport at the third division club FC Glarus . He is sales manager at an insurance company in Glarus .
Career
society
He was a professional soccer player. He learned the basics of football at FC Freienbach before moving to the junior department of the Grasshopper Club Zurich in 1996 . He played a total of 51 games for FC St. Gallen and FC Schaffhausen in the highest Swiss soccer league ( Raiffeisen Super League ). He got six hits. He made his NLA debut on November 24, 2002 wearing the FC St. Gallen jersey in a 2-1 away win in Bern against the Young Boys .
Daniel Senn made his first appearances in the FC St. Gallen Fanion team under Thomas Staub in the difficult autumn of 2002 and was also the goalscorer in the home win against SR Delémont to make it 3-0. Heinz Peischl officially promoted him to the NLA team after taking office. From mid-April 2003, Senn was injured and only came back to the season at FC Luzern .
Senn was loaned to FC Schaffhausen in order to gain more match practice. There he made the promotion in 2004 and was later also taken over by the FCS. Daniel Senn was Schaffhausen's promotion goalscorer, he scored the 3-2 in the decisive home game against FC Chiasso in the 90th minute. Two and a half months later, in a 3-2 win against the FCSG in front of 5500 spectators, the Schaffhausen's first major triumph after returning to the NLA, Senn scored 1-0. At the end of September Senn fell out with a fibula fracture and was absent until the end of 2004. At the end of September 2005, a fatigue fracture in his foot led to a longer loss, after which Senn was only used irregularly, in autumn 2006 he had just three NLA games. Before that, Senn had scored the only goal in the Barrage second leg at FC Vaduz in June 2005 and saved Schaffhausen another NLA season.
In January 2007 Daniel Senn was loaned to FC Winterthur , for which he played 47 NLB games in two and a half years until 2009. Since summer 2009 he played for FC Tuggen . He scored 16 goals there in the first season in the first division, and also scored in the Swiss Cup in a 4-1 win against FC Schaffhausen. Daniel Senn contributed 14 goals in the 2011/2012 season to promotion to the new 1st division promotion. In November 2011, his equalizer in the second round of the Cup against Sion shook the Valais Super League representative.
National team
He played an international match for the U-21 national team (July 19, 2005 against Qatar in Vevey , 2-1 defeat).
