Daniela Philippi (journalist)

Daniela Philippi (* 1949 in Munich ) is a German journalist.

Career

Philippi graduated from high school in 1968 and then studied Romance and German at the University of Munich . After completing her master's degree in 1974, she attended the German School of Journalism in Munich. From 1975 she worked for Bayerischer Rundfunk , where she was given a permanent position as an editor in 1979. From 1992 she reported regularly from the Bavarian state parliament . She also reported live from the Bayreuth Festival . In 1995 she became head of the newly established State Policy Department. Since February 2009, she has been Michael Ziegler’s spokeswoman for the Bavarian Prime Minister Horst Seehofer (CSU) and the Bavarian State Government . She retired on October 1, 2016. Her successor was Rainer Riedl, head of the refugee coordination team in the Bavarian State Chancellery .

She is an honorary member of the board of trustees of the Academy for Political Education in Tutzing .
