Daniyar Jermekowitsch Akhmetov ( Kazakh Данияр Ермекович Ахметов ; * the 30th March 1988 in Karaganda , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh hockey player who since 2009 Barys Astana in the Continental Hockey League is under contract on their second team in the Kazakh Cup play .
Career
Danijar Akhmetov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Kasachmys Karaganda , for whose first team he was active in the Kazakh championship from 2004 to 2006 . The club stayed with the defender in the 2006/07 season after he had moved to Sätbajew and renamed Kazachmys Satpajew. For Satpajew he played in this season both in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, and in the Kazakh championship, as well as for the latter's second team in the third-class Russian Perwaja Liga .
Akhmetov spent the 2007/08 season at Barys Astana , for which he ran up in the Vysschaya League, as well as for its second team in parallel in the Pervaya League. It followed a year with its Wysschaja Liga rivals HK Sary-Arka Karaganda before he returned to Barys Astana for the 2009/10 season . There he could not recommend himself for any use in the KHL team, but instead only stood on the ice in the Kazakh championship.
International
For Kazakhstan Akhmetov took part in the U18 Junior B World Championships in 2006 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2006 and 2007 . At the U20-B-World Cup 2007 he was promoted to the top division with his country. In total, he gave two assists in 15 junior international matches.
