Dannielle Khan (born September 1, 1995 in Solihull ) is a British track cyclist who specializes in short-term disciplines. She was also successful as a short tracker.
Athletic career
Danielle Khan began her sporting career at the age of eight as a short tracker for the Mohawks Ice Racing Club in her hometown of Solihull. At the age of 14 she got her first bike and initially used cycling as a fitness training. When she surprisingly won two national cycling titles in her age group for herself in 2011, she decided to concentrate on cycling. In 2012 she was accepted into the British Olympic Development Program .
In 2013, Khan was two-time world champion in the juniors , sprint and 500-meter time trial in Glasgow ; she was runner-up in the Keirin . In the same year, she and Jessica Varnish won the British championship title in the team sprint and won the overall Keirin ranking of the British track cycling competition Revolution Series .
In 2016, Danielle Khan became European Champion (U23) in the team pursuit together with Emily Kay , Manon Lloyd and Emily Nelson .
After a long break from competition, Khan received a contract with Team Lotto Soudal Ladies on July 1, 2019 .
