Daniel "Danny" John-Jules (born September 16, 1960 in London ) is a British actor , dancer and singer .

Life

Danny John-Jules is a baritone . Before moving into the film business, he danced in many productions in theaters in London's West End theater district . He is part of the original line-up of the Starlight Express musical.

In 1993, John-Jules released a Red Dwarf song called Tongue Tied in a video. This song reached the top 20 of the charts in 1995. He was also with the British pop group Wham! traveling as a dancer. He was also featured in her video for The Edge of Heaven . John-Jules also danced on Lena Zavaroni's TV show . After her death, he published a tribute to her on her website.

John-Jules made his film debut in 1975 as Frog in Seven Green Bottles . He later gave his voice to two characters in The Journey into the Labyrinth . In 1986 he appeared in a version of The Little Shop of Horror . In 2008 he starred in the movie The Grint . At the side of Rachel Weisz he played 2010 in Whistleblower - On a dangerous mission a police officer.

Danny John-Jules is best known for the role of The Cat in the British science fiction series Red Dwarf . He was also in Scum of Roy Minton to see. He also appeared in Maid Marian and her Merry Men , The Story Makers , Casualty and Night Fever . He also appeared in an episode of the CBBC series Kerching! on. From 2011 to 2018 he appeared in the BBC One series Death in Paradise as Dwayne Myers .

Danny John-Jules has a nephew named Alexander John-Jules, who is also an actor and has appeared at Red Dwarf alongside his uncle .
