Peter Götzmann (* 1957 in Baden-Baden ) is a German drummer and music teacher who now lives in Bad Kreuznach . He accompanied and accompanied numerous artists, bands and music projects on their concerts and tours and worked as a studio musician on numerous recordings for CDs.

Peter Götzmann played drums in concerts and tours by the Candace Asher Band, the Casino Band Baden-Baden and the music formations and artists Chantal , Celebration Gospel Choir, El Houssaine Kili, Günter Möll Group, Herman's Hermits , Intermezzo, Jazz Live, Jesus Christ Superstar, Jill Morris, Maisha Grant Blues Band, Marc Marshall, Marla Glen , Martin Müller Band, Pat Fritz Band, Pirmin Ullrich Quintett, Richard Dobson Band, Roland Schaeffer (Guru Guru), Rock Chor Speyer, Rüdiger Oppermann , Simon Holliday, Tart, Thirty Fingers, Thomm, Tony McLoughlin, Tony Sheridan .

Peter Götzmann studied at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern . He took lessons with Billy Brooks , Peter Giger , Hermann Mutschler (SWF Bigband / Erwin Lehn Bigband) and attended seminars with Udo Dahmen , Wolfgang Basler, José Cartijo and Freddy Santiago.

Götzmann received teaching assignments from the Karlsruhe University of Education, the Gaggenau Music School, the Baden-Baden Education Center and the Mannheim Youth Forum.

Peter Götzmann's Jazz Hop Rhythm

Peter Götzmann founded the jazz radio band Peter Götzmanns Jazz Hop Rhythm, in which he gives concerts as a drummer with Rolf Hillert ( percussion ), Niklas Braun (bass), Michael Rüber (guitar) and Joe Völker (keyboard) and Mario Götz (vocals) and CDs records.

Thirty Fingers

Peter Götzmann has been a member of the Thirty Fingers music group since 2006 . With Petra Erdtmann ( flute ) and Joe Völker ( piano and arranger ) he performs mainly in southern Germany. The group arranges melodies and pieces from early baroque to modern jazz in a modern guise and for the combination of drums, e-piano and flute. In 2010 Thirty Fingers released the maxi CD Morning Mood with four tracks. The CD Zeitlos followed in 2012 .
