Petra Erdtmann
Petra Erdtmann (* 1967 in Bad Kreuznach ) is a German flutist and music teacher who lives in Bad Kreuznach. She currently plays with keyboard player and arranger Joe Völker and drummer Peter Götzmann in the jazz band Thirty Fingers , which dresses melodies from all musical eras in a modern garb. She also plays her instrument, the flute, in the German instrumental ensemble Chantal . Since 2003 she has been teaching the flute at the Mittlere Nahe eV music school and is carrying out the wind force 11 music project with her class .
Education and life path
Petra Erdtmann learned to play the flute since 1976. She studied music education in Wiesbaden with Elmar Baumann and then went to the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts to study orchestral music with Klaus Pohler's .
Flute quartet Flûtes joyeuses
In 1988 she co-founded the flute quartet Flûtes joyeuses with the ensemble members Alice Janicaud, Marietta Fischesser and Dominique Litzenbörger. The quartet not only performed in Germany and in Dijon , Montreux and Klagenfurt , but was also repeatedly engaged to frame festive events, for example in the Wiesbaden state parliament with the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Willy Brandt and in 1992 at the inauguration of the new plenary hall of the Bundestag (Bonn) - with the then Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl and the President of the Bundestag Rita Süssmuth . Dominique Litzenbörger's part was taken on by Norma Lukoschek, with whom Petra Erdtmann still has a lively concert activity.
