Daphné Baiwir (born July 18, 1992 ) is a Belgian actress .

Life

Born in the Lier area , Baiwir's family moved to Paris when she was four years old. As a child, she worked as a photo model and had small film appearances. At the age of eight she discovered Gérard Jugnot for the film Monsieur Batignole . Catherine Breillat cast her twice in her films Barbe bleue (German: Bluebeard's youngest wife ) and Abus de faiblesse on the side of Isabelle Huppert . In Homo Faber (Three Women) , a film adaptation of the novel Homo faber by Max Frisch , Richard Dindo gave her the role of Sabeth.

Baiwir founded the film production company Films Bulle, with the help of which she also produced her first directorial work , the short film Danse Funèbre . The film, which focuses on a confrontation with the death penalty , was shown at the 2014 Cannes International Film Festival in the Short Film Corner category . She is married and lives in Trouville-sur-Mer , where she first organized a short film festival in 2014 .
