Darío Lezcano Mendoza (born June 30, 1990 in Asunción ) is a Paraguayan football player . His preferred position is in attack or attacking midfield .

Lezcano at FC Thun (2011)

Lezcano played in his youth for Club 4 de Octubre and FC Nanawa . From 2007 to 2008 he played with Sportivo Trinidense in the Primera División de Paraguay . For the 2008/09 season he moved to Switzerland for FC Wil , with whom he played in the Challenge League . Despite an ongoing contract until 2012, he moved to FC Thun in the Super League during the winter break of the 2010/11 season . In his first outing on February 6, 2011, he scored his first goal in a 3-2 home defeat against FC Basel .

On February 2, 2012, Lezcanos announced an immediate move to FC Luzern . He signed a contract with the Swiss Central Office until June 30, 2016. On July 15, 2015, he extended his contract prematurely by one year to June 30, 2017.

From January 2016, Lezcano played for the German Bundesliga club FC Ingolstadt 04 . The Schanzern he signed a contract until June 30, 2020. At 3: 3 draw against VfB Stuttgart on March 12, 2016 the 26th matchday, he scored via direct kick for temporarily 3: 1 his first goal for Ingolstadt in the Bundesliga. After Ingolstadt's relegation from the 2nd Bundesliga, Lezcano terminated his contract in summer 2019.

After the contract termination in Ingolstadt, the offensive player moved to the first Mexican league , where he signed a contract with FC Juarez .

Lezcano took part with the Paraguayan U17 national team at the 2007 South American Championship .

He made his debut on October 13, 2015 in a 0-0 World Cup qualifying home game for the 2018 World Cup against Argentina for the Paraguayan national soccer team, where he played straight through. On November 17, 2015, in his third international match in the World Cup qualifying home game for the 2018 World Cup against Bolivia , he scored his first goal for Paraguay in a 2-1 win.
