Dariusz Załuski (* 1959 in Warsaw ) is a Polish mountaineer who climbed in the Tatra Mountains , the Alps and the Himalayas , among other places .

He climbed the Hagshu in the Zanskar area (first ascent), the Aconcagua , Mount McKinley , Kilimanjaro , Gasherbrum II (1997), Cho Oyu (2000), Lhotse (2001), Mount Everest (2006) and the K2 (2011). He reached the latter summit on August 23, 2011 as part of an expedition with Maksut Schumajew , Wassili Piwzow and Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner .

He took part in three Polish winter expeditions: Nanga Parbat (1997/98), Makalu (2000/2001, among others together with Krzysztof Wielicki ) and K2 (2002/2003). His film Przypadki pani Ani about the Seven Summits captive Anna Czerwińska received awards at the mountain film festivals in Vancouver, Moscow, Trento and Sliven and qualified for the "Banff World Tour". The films Obrazki z wyprawy and Ciao Martina received awards at the festival in Sliven. Załuski is also the author of the Everest film Przesunąć horyzont .

Załuski is married and has two grown daughters.
