Darko Perić (born March 25, 1977 in Kladovo , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian actor who gained international fame through the role of Helsinki in the television series House of Money .

Life

Perić is the son of Serbian parents and has been interested in acting since childhood. He wanted to attend an acting school in Zagreb , but the Yugoslav war ended this dream in 1991. He attended a veterinary school in Bucharest because his parents wanted him to be a doctor. Thanks to some friends who studied acting in Bucharest, he was able to combine his medical studies with his passion for filmmaking with a variety of short films from the student school.

In 1994 he moved to Timișoara . There he continued his medical studies, but also played in theater plays and sang in hardcore and punk bands. In 2000 he successfully completed his medical degree. Before he started his acting career in 2008, he lived in Berlin for some time .

In 2011 he was seen in an episode of the television series Crematorio - In Purgatory of Corruption . Further occupations in film and television productions followed. He was seen in the film A Perfect Day in 2015 . Since 2017 he can be seen in the role of Helsinki in the Netflix Original House of Money .

Perić speaks Bosnian , Croatian , Montenegrin , Serbian and Serbo-Croatian as mother tongue , English , Romanian and Spanish fluently, Italian , Catalan , Macedonian well and has a basic knowledge of French and Russian .
