Darren Braithwaite (born January 20, 1969 in London ) is a former British athlete who specializes in the 100-meter run .

Life

At World Athletics Championships, he won the bronze medal with the British 4 x 100 meter relay in Tokyo in 1991 and in Athens in 1997 . Also at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , he competed with the relay, which, however, missed the finals. In the 100-meter run, he reached the quarter-finals.

On March 3, 1991 he was a member of the British relay team, which set an indoor world record in Glasgow over the rarely run 4 x 200 meter distance. Together with Linford Christie , John Regis and Ade Mafe he achieved a time of 1: 22.11 min.

He was also in 1995 over 100 m and in 1998 over 60 m indoor champion of the Amateur Athletics Association of England .

Darren Braithwaite had a competition weight of 71 kg with a height of 1.83 m.
