The secret to Linda (also known as Devilish snake ) is an American thriller from Nathaniel Gutman from the year 1993 . He is filming a novel by John D. MacDonald .

action

The married couple Linda and Paul Cowley befriend their neighbors Stella and Brandon Jeffries. The two couples spend their vacation together on the shore.

Linda Cowley and Brandon Jeffries spend a lot of time together on vacation. Paul and Stella get jealous. They comfort each other and go to a hotel, but fail to bring themselves to fling. Paul wants to leave and expects Stella to do the same.

When Paul and Stella meet on the beach, Linda and Brandon suddenly appear. Linda holds a rifle from which she shoots Stella. Then she shoots Brandon, who disappears in the water.

Paul is calling the police. In the meantime, Linda has disappeared. A little later, Linda and Brandon arrive and pretend they're returning from fishing. Some evidence suggests that Paul was the perpetrator and that he is arrested.

A young prosecutor believes in Paul's innocence. He says that a chess player sometimes has to make an unexpected move. Paul escapes from custody and calls Brandon. Brandon meets Linda on the bank, Paul secretly takes up the conversation. His tape recorder falls into the water, the recorded conversation is then only partially understandable.

The young prosecutor, his wife, who works for a radio station, and Paul fake the recording in the recording studio. When Linda is confronted with the recording, she immediately recognizes the fake. Brandon also recognizes the fake, but collapses and tells about the crime.

Paul visits his wife in prison. She and Brandon are sentenced to death and executed, Paul remarries.

The film lexicon on www.tvspielfilm.de praised the “ imaginative ” plot, which was above “the usual TV level ”. The synchronization of the German language version was criticized.
