action

In post-war Germany, Rosemarie Nitribitt , who comes from a poor background, wants to advance . In doing so, she meets Hartog, who only sees her as an affair. At a meeting of influential industrialists, she meets Fribert, who supports her financially, but in return demands that her meetings with her suitors from among the industrialists be recorded. Fribert wants to blackmail Hartog and his business partners with it. Nitribitt offers Hartog the tapes if he marries her for it, but Hartog refuses. In the end, Rosemarie Nitribitt is murdered, the perpetrator remains unknown and the tapes have disappeared.

Reviews

“The film, which is completely trimmed for superficiality, but which can rely on a convincing leading actress, tells of her ascent, which led to the highest (armament) circles, of her entanglement with the underworld and of an unrequited love . In 1958 the material was filmed by Rolf Thiele, who castigated the double standards of his time with satirical means. "
