criticism
The dictionary of fantasy films says that the film is based on the style of Italian neorealism , but accuses director Gil of pretending to illuminate a topic that he then constantly sneaks past. The Dutch Cinema.nl considered what was shown to be less than inspired and inspiring, the lexicon of international films judged more mildly: "A film appealing in content and form thanks to its natural simplicity".
