David Abdul (born August 17, 1989 in Oranjestad , Aruba ) is an Aruban - Dutch football player on the position of a striker .

In Oranjestad on the Southern Caribbean -Insel Aruba -born Abdul began his active career as a footballer at youth level of Sparta Rotterdam and from there came in the 2008-09 season for the first time in the squad of the professional team with gaming operations in the highest Dutch football league, the Eredivisie . After joining the professional team, Abdul was a supplementary player and, along with players such as Rydell Poepon , Édouard Duplan , Joshua John , Joey Godee and Charles Dissels, only rarely played in the attack line of the second-largest football club in Rotterdam . In the KNVB Cup of the 2008/09 season he played in the knockout round defeat against NEC Nijmegen for almost half an hour. In the 2009/10 season , the trained winger had two more championship appearances. The team lost at the end of the season in the relegation playoffs against Excelsior Rotterdam and relegated to the Eerste Divisie . Then he played for two years for the fourth-rate club RVVH Ridderkerk , before he moved to SV Dakota in Aruba in 2013 . Since 2014, no new Abduls club is known.

National team

Between 2011 and 2015, Abdul made five international appearances for the Aruba national team . On his debut on July 9, 2011, he scored his only goal in a 4-2 home win in World Cup qualification against St. Lucia .

Others

David's brother Eric, who is three years older than him, is also active in football, but not as a field player like his brother, but as a goalkeeper . He was also in the professional squad of Sparta Rotterdam for some time , but did not play a competitive game. He later also played for SV Dakota .
