David Auerbach

David Auerbach (born September 2, 1599 in Liemehna , † April 14, 1647 in Borna ) was a German Lutheran theologian .

Life

David Auerbach moved into the University of Leipzig in 1616 . He completed his studies in 1623 and received the degree of Baccalaureus Artium . The following year he was awarded a master's degree and in 1628 a baccalaureate in theology. The University of Leipzig in 1639 introduced him as extraordinary theology professor one. The following year his doctorate him the university for doctor of theology and the licentiate in theology. In the same year he received in St. Nikolai his ordination and served as pastor and superintendent at St. Mary's Church in Borna. In 1639/1640 he also served as dean of the university. He married Maria Magdalena Hoerning in 1641 and had three children. Auerbach held the professorship in Borna until his death on April 14, 1647 at the age of 47.
