David Bachelard
David Bachelard (born August 9, 1815 in Sonzier , † June 18, 1866 in Vevey , resident in Nyon and Pampigny ) was a Swiss politician .
biography
Bachelard attended the teacher training college and then worked as a primary school teacher, first in Rolle and then in Vevey . He later worked in the wine trade and in the production of mineral water .
In 1845 - after the radical revolution - he politicized as a councilor and governor of the Vevey district . After the Separation of Powers Act was passed, he was forced to resign from office. He decided to give up the government stewardship. Bachelard then had a seat in parliament until 1866. He was elected to the National Council in May 1866 , but died before he took office.
David Bachelard was one of the moderate radicals who held the majority in parliament. Politically, over time it slipped more and more to the center-right.
