David Bellion (born November 27, 1982 in Paris ) is a French football player .

Career

society

Like many French players, Bellion comes from the AS Cannes youth academy . After only one season he moved to the English Premier League for Sunderland FC . There he made his debut on August 22, 2001 against Fulham FC . He failed to score in his first season, but in the 2002/03 season he scored his first goal in England against Aston Villa . Considered a great talent, he was signed by Manchester United after the season . There he could not prevail due to the high competition and was awarded to West Ham United in 2005 .

With the "Hammers" he remained unsuccessful in eight games and returned to Manchester at halftime of the season. ManU, however, no longer had any use for the striker, who was loaned to OGC Nice in his home country for the next six months . He got along better in France and was signed by the Red-Blacks in the summer of 2006. After an average season in Ligue 1 (8 goals in 30 games), the traditional club Girondins Bordeaux brought him for 4.5 million euros. He got off to an excellent start in the 2007/08 season , scoring eight goals in twelve games. The following games did not go so well and he could only score four more goals this season. In the end he was runner-up with the blue . In the following season 2008/09 Bellion was the first time French champions and also won the League Cup ( Coupe de la Ligue ) with Girondins Bordeaux.

When he lost his regular place in the 2010/11 season, he finally moved in January 2011 on loan for six months to league rivals and his former employer OGC Nice .

National team

Between 2002 and 2003 he played four games for the French U-21 team.
