David Conrad

David Conrad (born August 17, 1967 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor . He became known through the series Ghost Whisperer.

Life

He attended boarding school near his hometown of Pittsburgh , graduated from the famous Juilliard School in New York City in 1995 and is also a graduate of the prestigious Brown University in Providence .

At the beginning of his acting career, he was mainly seen on the theater stage. This was so important to him for a long time that he turned down interesting film offers. After he had decided to appear on television, his career was initially sluggish, and he played hardly any guest or extra roles worth mentioning.

Conrad was very interested in the role of a villain in Buffy the Vampire Slayer , but was repeatedly turned down by the producers. In 2000 he received an offer for the film drama Men of Honor , through which he became internationally known. He then played a brief guest role in the series Roswell . From 2005 to 2010 he played the lead role of Jim Clancy in the US Fantasy - Mystery - television series Ghost Whisperer - Voices From Beyond alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt as his wife and ghost seer Melinda Gordon .
