Dave Draper

David Draper (born April 6, 1942 in Secaucus , New Jersey ; also The Blonde Bomber ) is a bodybuilder, actor and author from the United States .

life and career

Draper was already training regularly with weights at the age of 10. He also did wrestling, gymnastics, and swimming in high school, but was most fond of weight training. At the age of 21 he won the title of Mr. New Jersey . Six months later, he moved to Santa Monica, California , where he worked for Joe Weider's Barbell company until 1969 . During this time he also worked as a film actor.

In California, Draper initially trained at The Dungeon and later at Gold's Gym . His training partners included Frank Zane , Arnold Schwarzenegger , Franco Columbu and Mike Katz .

Draper later confessed to using steroids and at times being addicted to alcohol. Due to heart problems caused by arteriosclerosis , he has had to undergo several heart operations. However, according to his doctors, his heart problems should not have been caused by steroid abuse.

Draper is 183 cm tall and had a competition weight of approx. 102 kg.
