David Dvorkin

David Dvorkin (born October 8, 1943 in Reading , Berkshire ) is an American science fiction and horror writer.

Life

Born in southern England, Dvorkin, son of a rabbi, lived in the USA from 1957. He studied mathematics at Indiana University and the University of Houston , where he graduated with a Masters . From 1967 he worked as an engineer at NASA and at Martin Marietta for the Apollo and Viking programs. He has been working as a software developer since 1974 . Dvorkin lives in Denver , Colorado .

His first science fiction novel, The Children of Shiny Mountain , appeared in 1974. Since then, he has published a number of SF novels, including three tie-ins to the SF television series Spaceship Enterprise , and three horror novels. He wrote two of his novels with his son Danniel Dvorkin.
