David E. Stone
David E. Stone (born December 11, 1947 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American sound engineer .
Life
Stone began his career in television in the late 1970s, where he worked on various cartoon series, including Scooby-Doo , Popeye, and the Flintstones . His film debut was the Cheech and Chong comedy Cheech & Chong's Hot Dreams . As a result, Stone shifted his focus of work to film and was very rarely active for television. In 1993 he and Tom C. McCarthy won the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing for Bram Stoker's Dracula . After Ocean's 12 in 2004, Stone retired from the movie business.
