David Charles Gower Hunt (born May 22, 1934 in London ) is a former British sailor .
successes
David Hunt took part in the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and 1976 in Montreal as a crew member of helmsman Alan Warren in the boat class Tempest part. With 34.4 points they took second place in the Olympic Center Schilksee in Kiel in 1972 behind the Soviet Olympic champions Valentin Mankin and Witalij Dyrdyra and in front of the Americans Glen Foster and Peter Dean , with which they won the silver medal. Four years later, Hunt and Warren did not get past 14th place in the Olympic regatta, but in the same year he became world champion in the Flying Dutchman with John Oakeley in Montreal .
