Glen Seward Foster II (born August 14, 1930 in Orange , † October 1, 1999 in New York City ) was an American sailor .
successes
Glen Foster took part in the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich with crew member Peter Dean in the Tempest boat class . With 47.7 points they took third place in the Schilksee Olympic Center in Kiel behind the Soviet Olympic champions Valentin Mankin and Vitaly Dyrdyra and the Britons Alan Warren and David Hunt , with which they won the bronze medal. Already in 1971 they became world champions together in Marstrand . In the Finn dinghy , Foster won two US championships and one North American championship.
Foster attended Phillips Academy and studied at Brown University , for which he also took part in sailing competitions.
