Peter Sweetser Dean (born March 6, 1951 in Boston ) is a former American sailor .
successes
Peter Dean took part in the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich as a crew member of helmsman Glen Foster in the Tempest boat class . With 47.7 points they took third place in the Schilksee Olympic Center in Kiel behind the Soviet Olympic champions Valentin Mankin and Vitaly Dyrdyra and the Britons Alan Warren and David Hunt , with which they won the bronze medal. Already in 1971 they became world champions together in Marstrand .
