David Kadouch

David Kadouch (born December 7, 1985 in Nice ) is a French pianist and chamber musician .

Life

David Kadouch began his piano training at the conservatory in his native city and continued with Jacques Rouvier at the Paris Conservatory at the age of 14 . He then moved to the "Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía" in Madrid in the class of Dmitri Bashkirow . In addition, he attended master classes a. a. with Daniel Barenboim , Murray Perahia , Maria João Pires , Maurizio Pollini , Stephen Kovacevich and Elisso Wirsaladse .

At the age of 13 David Kadouch won the Young Talents Competition in Milan and was then invited by Itzhak Perlman to a concert in New York. In 2005 he took third place at the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn , as well as at the Kissinger Piano Olympics 2007. At the International Piano Competition in Leeds in 2009 he was fourth. In 2010, Kadouch was “Young Artist of the Year” at the Victoires de la musique classique and was named “Young Artist of the Year” in 2011 at the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA).

In addition to the popular classical and romantic piano works from Bach to Beethoven and Mendelssohn to Saint-Saëns, his repertoire also includes seldom performed music, e.g. B. Arvo Pärt “Lamentate”, Guillaume Connesson “The Shining One” and Sergei Taneyev “Prelude and Fugue op. 29”.

David Kadouch plays at international music festivals such as the Ruhr Piano Festival , Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, Verbier Festival , Festival International de Colmar, Festival de La Roque-d'anthéron and the Folles Journées de Nantes. He works with the conductors Gábor Takács-Nagy , Jean-Claude Casadesus , Charles Dutoit and Chung Myung-whun , among others . His chamber music partners include Quatuor Ébène , Quatuor Modigliani, Edgar Moreau, Renaud Capuçon and Gautier Capuçon .
