David Lobech
David Lobech , also Lobeck (* 1560 in the land of Hadeln ; † September 14, 1603 in Rostock ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran theologian.
Life
His father Peter Lobeck was a juror at the St. Katharinenkirche in Hamburg . After attending school in Hamburg, David Lobech studied languages, philosophy and mathematics in Rostock from 1579 to 1583 . In 1582 he became a master . In 1584 he accompanied three Hamburg patrician sons to Heidelberg and Tübingen . In 1587 he returned to Rostock via Hamburg after traveling through Switzerland and Germany. In March 1589 he became a deacon (preacher) at the Petrikirche in Rostock . Two years later he became archdeacon at the Jakobikirche . In 1594 the council appointed him extraordinary professor of theology; at the same time he was promoted to Dr. theol. PhD. He died of the plague at the age of 43.
David Lobech was married to Ursula Schacht, a daughter of Rostock professor Valentin Schacht (1540–1607) , since 1589 .
