David Nail
David Brent Nail (born May 18, 1979 in Kennett , Missouri ) is an American country singer .
Career
In his youth, Nail had to choose between country music and baseball . His first attempt in Nashville failed and so he soon returned to his native Missouri. A second attempt in 2002 got off to a more promising start. A record deal with Mercury was followed by album recordings and his self-written debut single Memphis reached the lower echelons of the country charts. Then there was turbulence in the label, the producer said goodbye and Nail was the victim and his album release was canceled.
Frustrated, the singer withdrew and worked as a baseball coach. It wasn't until 2007 that he got another chance at the MCA label . He put together his second album I'm About to Come Alive . The pre-single of the same name was a flop, but the breakthrough came with the second single Red Light . It made the country top 10 and was also successful in the general charts.
Private life
On June 6, 2009, he married his longtime girlfriend Catherine in Franklin .
