David Shore (born July 3, 1959 in London , Ontario , Canada ) is a Canadian film producer , screenwriter and director .

Career

David Shore is primarily active as a producer and writer for television series . He has been a writer since 1995, he wrote an episode for the television series The Hardy Boys . Shore is the inventor, screenwriter and producer of the successful US television series Dr. House . In addition, he directed the final episode of the second season and the final episode of the series. For his work on Dr. House , he has received various nominations and awards, including a 2010 Writers Guild of America Award and an Emmy . In 1998 and 1999, he and the other producers received Emmy nominations for Law & Order .

Shore owns his own production company, Shore Z . In 2012, after eight years at Universal Television's production studio, he moved to Sony Pictures Television . Shore signed an eight-digit three-year contract.

Together with Bryan Cranston he created the series Sneaky Pete , the first season of which was released on Amazon Video in early 2017 .
