David Vaněček (born March 9, 1991 in Planá u Mariánských Lázní ) is a Czech football player . He is the cousin of the former soccer player of the same name, David Vaněček .

Career

David Vaněček was born in Planá u Mariánských Lázní, 10 km southwest of Marienbad . Until 2009 he played in the youth of Viktoria Pilsen . In the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons he played two league games for the club. With Pilsen he won the Czech Cup in 2010 and the championship and the Supercup in 2011 . It was then awarded to six different clubs in the Czech Republic for the following years, including the second division clubs FC MAS Táborsko , FK Ústí nad Labem , FC Sellier & Bellot Vlašim , FK Baník Sokolov and FC Hradec Králové as well as the first division club FC Vysočina Jihlava . In Hradec Králové , the striker was the top scorer in the 2013/14 season with 17 goals and helped the club move up behind Dynamo Budweis . Vaněček was then firmly committed. After the direct descent in 2015 , the second ascent followed a year later. In 2016 he moved to FK Teplice .

In January 2019 he moved to the Scottish first division club Heart of Midlothian . In June 2019, his contract in Edinburgh was prematurely terminated. He then moved to Hungary for Puskás Akadémia FC .

National team

Vaněček played in the U-16 , U-18 and U-19 national teams of the Czech Republic between 2007 and 2010 .
