Villaz is a municipality in the canton of Friborg , Switzerland .

It was created on January 1, 2020 from the previous municipalities of Villaz-Saint-Pierre (FSO No. 2111) and La Folliaz (FSO No. 2116).

The municipalities of Châtonnaye (FSO no. 2068) and Torny (FSO no. 2115) were also involved in the original merger project.
