Davide Grisolia

Davide Grisolia (born April 2, 1993 in Nuremberg ) is an Italian film director , screenwriter , film producer and film editor who lives in Germany . The Franconian trash film Macho Man 2 (2017) was made under his direction .

life and career

Davide Grisolia is the son of Anna-Maria Gugliotta-Grisolia, a podiatrist and masseuse, and Giuseppe "Sandoká" Grisolia, a chef and security guard. Both parents are from Calabria . Grisolia grew up in Roßtal . The films RoboCop (1987) and Terminator 2 - Reckoning Day (1991) sparked his passion for filmmaking when he was young . During his childhood and youth he made his first films on Video Home System and Hi8 with school friends, with which he also won film awards. After his qualifying high school , his middle school and his secondary school , he presented in 2012 its first regional movie in Fuerth . A few weeks later his father suddenly died, which shook the life of the Grisolias.

In the winter semester of 2012, Grisolia applied to study film at the Design Faculty of the Technical University of Nuremberg Georg Simon Ohm and was accepted. During his studies he made other films for regional cinema, where he worked with David Riedel , Mika Metz and Jennifer Weller , among others .

Grisolia has also been making music videos since 2012 . He came to collaborations with the Turkish rapper Ceykan (a work colleague of Captain Hollywood ), Rico Caliente from Pachanga , and Fab Morvan and John Davis from Milli Vanilli .

In July 2016, he graduated with his science fiction - Thriller cryonics his Bachelor of Arts .

Shortly thereafter, Grisolia realized the Franconian trash film Macho Man 2 as director, screenwriter, cameraman and film editor , a continuation of the 1985 film Macho Man . The film premiered on September 27, 2017 at the Cinecittà in Nuremberg .

At the end of January 2019, Grisolia announced on his Facebook profile that he was working on another sequel to the Franconian trash film classic: Macho Man 3.
