Macho Man 2 is a German trash film by Davide Grisolia from 2017 and the sequel to the Franconian cult film Macho Man from 1985. René Weller , Peter Althof and Michael Messing again embody the characters Dany Wagner, Andreas Arnold and Markus Meisner. The trash film celebrated its premiere on September 27, 2017 in the Cinecittà Nuremberg . On May 1, 2020, the film was broadcast on Franken TV, making it the first feature film ever to be shown on Franken TV.

On the journey from Prague to Garda , the two unscrupulous organ mafiosi Azhar Azrail (Bülent Babayiğit) and Sascha Taranov (Anton Kroll) stranded in Nuremberg . In a car accident, all preserved organs in the mafiosi's transporter are burned. Azhar and Sascha are now forced to find new goods on site. On their hunt for new organs, they shoot karate master Markus Meisner (Michael Messing), the best friend of Andreas Arnold (Peter Althof) and Dany Wagner (René Weller) on the street. Andreas and Dany take the pursuit of the perpetrators into their own hands and go on a campaign of revenge.

  • Macho Man 2 is the second official movie that was ever shot in Franconia. The first feature film in Franconia was Macho Man (1985).
  • To finance the continuation of one was Crowdfunding - campaign started, failed however. The film was nevertheless successfully realized.
  • The shooting started on 5 September 2015 Italy, although no script was finished and no history. The reason for this was a deadline set at short notice by the production company for the completion of the film. The deadline for completion was then postponed to a later date.
  • Shortly after filming started in Italy in September 2015, the film team was robbed.
  • Filming then started again on August 28, 2016, shortly after director Davide Grisolia had completed his bachelor's degree film Kryonik (2016) and published it in a Nuremberg cinema.
  • While filming a fight scene, Peter Althof broke his nose several times.
  • The most dangerous stunt from Macho Man 2 is in the last third of the film. In one scene, Christoph Zitzmann, who plays himself in the film, jumps from a flying helicopter from a height of 3 meters onto a moving vehicle (Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6) at around 50 km / h , and climbs on the pick-up while driving along, jump into the vehicle through the passenger window and then fight the driver. This scene was shot without a stunt double . Grisolia left this entire stunt sequence unedited.
  • One of Grisolia's directorial idols, the Italian director Ruggero Deodato , has a cameo in the Franconian sequel .
